Wednesday, March 2 - CHAPTER 10

CLASSWORK:

Today in class, we started by reminding those with outstanding assignments that since it is the first of the month, they will be expected in homework club until their assignments / tests are all caught up.

Next, students were given the "Canada at the Polls - Definitions Homework Quiz" which we later marked as a class.  Students who missed the quiz will have to write it upon their return.

Next, Mr. Clark walked the class through a diagram (on the board) which connected all of the terms (from the quiz) and where they fit into the election process.

Mr. Clark then divided the class into groups, and each were given a scrambled set of items that would occur during an election.  Their job was to put the items into the proper chronological order as quickly as possible.

**STUDENTS WHO WERE AWAY CAN TRY THIS AS WELL BY GOING TO CHAPTER 10 MATERIALS PAGE OF THE WEBSITE AND LOOKING AT THE HANDOUT TITLED, "ELECTION - ORDER OF OPERATIONS".  PLEASE CHECK THE KEY (WHICH IS ON THE SAME PAGE ON THE WEBSITE) AFTER YOU TRY TO PUT THESE IN ORDER YOURSELF.

Students were provided the rest of the class time to work on their Chapter 10 Questions.

HOMEWORK:

Students were asked to complete Chapter 10 Questions # 1-14 for tomorrow (Thursday, March 3).
Students are also reminded that their Political Parties Assignments are due on Friday, March 4 at the beginning of class.
