Tuesday, February 16 - CHAPTER 9

CLASSWORK:

Today, our focus was on the House of Commons.
We discussed how MPs earn their positions, and their roles and responsibilities.
We then read (as a class) text P. 228-230 "The House of Commons" and "How do MPs Vote?"
Next students were asked to individually read the handout titled, "On the Job with a Member of Parliament"
We then discussed and clarified the small assignment titled, "The Role of the MP".
Students were provided with the remainder of the class to complete this assignment.

HOMEWORK:

Those students who did not finish the assignment from the handout titled, "The Role of the MP" were asked to complete it for tomorrow (Wednesday, February 17)
