Wednesday, February 3 - IDEOLOGIES UNIT

CLASSWORK:

Today in class we discussed the various Ideologies, the Ideological Spectrum and the factors that contribute to each taking its place on the political spectrum.

• Do you feel progress benefits society or do you oppose change?
• Do you support public or private business ownership?
• Do you feel that humans will do what is best for society without policing and strict government structure?
• Do you believe in economic freedom (people are free to earn as they are able) or economic equality (everyone gets equal slice of the pie)?
• Do you support democracy or dictatorship?

We then discussed the results of our survey from yesterday using the handout titled, "Where Do You Fit in the Political Spectrum?" and discussed the results.
